I have never been one of those kind of guys who is all buff, and is all into the "manly" type of items. I am not a muscle car addict. I know a lot about cars, and I know a lot about muscle cars, but American cars these days, aren't living up to the potential that they had in the past. The 1969 Dodge Charger Daytona here, for example, was Chrysler's solution for the 1968 Dodge Charger 500 competing in NASCAR. They put better engines in these cars, and made them aerodynamic, and was the first car to ever approach the 200 mile-per-hour barrier. But even better, it passed that barrier, as the first car to achieve either.

In the modern day of 2014, cars are much better with their fuel economy; mostly due to the fact that they have safer horsepower distribution, unlike classic muscle cars, which almost always begin with a burnout, or a wheelie. They don't go as fast as the modern day cars, because of the transmission's gear ratio being different compared to the horsepower distribution.
